CLOTTEE BY CLOT PRESENTS DYSTOPIAN WORLD “CLOTTEE SALVATION ARMY” PART I
CLOTTEE by CLOT is returning with its “CLOTTEE SALVATION ARMY” Part I collection. Inspired by CLOT’s first-ever full-season collection shown at Fashion Week - Fall/Winter 2008 “CLOT Salvation Army” - this season’s CLOTTEE collection follows in those footsteps with inspired graphics and elements paying homage to “CLOT Salvation Army.” This season also marks CLOTTEE’s first full-season collection shown at Fashion Week.
Not to be confused with the Christian and charitable organization The Salvation Army, CLOT and CLOTTEE’s version of Salvation Army is one that examines the meaning behind those two words and the connotations they hold. Reimagining its definition as an army of like-minded people who strive to use knowledge and brains for combat instead of relying on destruction, bringing back the Salvation Army theme was not only inspired by the fact that it’s CLOTTEE’s first full-season collection, but also due to tumultuous current events and the current political climate.
“CLOTTEE SALVATION ARMY’S” campaign presents a dystopian world - a post-apocalyptic scene that is imagined as a direct result of destruction. Highlighting the fact that destruction is not the key, but salvation is to think differently.
THINK DIFFERENT… THE CLOT SALVATION ARMY TRAINS TO ONLY RESORT TO WEAPONS AND VIOLENCE WHEN THE WAR OF THE MINDS HAVE BROUGHT UPON NO OTHER OPTION. FOR THERE NEED NO BLOODSHED IF SUPERPOWERS HAVE THE THOUGHT-PROCESS OR THE BRAINS TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THAT DESTRUCTION ISN’T THE KEY. SALVATION IS.... THINK DIFFERENT.
Key graphics include the iconic THINK DIFFERENT graphic and the repeating brain graphic applied throughout. Both dark colors and brighter hues allude to the merging of minds and lightness and darkness present in the world.
CLOTTEE by CLOT an extension of our core label CLOT. Launched by Edison Chen and Kevin Poon, CLOTTEE aims to represent the energy of the newer generations with simple streetwear staples and eye-catching graphics.
