FOG Essentials brings understated luxe to athleisure this Spring 2022
Never running out of style, ESSENTIALS, the sub-label of California-based Fear of God, just dropped its Spring 2022 collection in soft, natural hues oozing with athletic ease and understated elegance—an irresistible combination that keeps us coming back for more.
With the aim to offer "an evolved point of view" to complete your wardrobe—one that is most probably filled with pieces from the brand's previous collections—ESSENTIALS' SP22 line-up comes in new textures, fabrications, shapes, and proportions that serve to elevate what you already have. And to those who haven't yet fallen into this utterly desirable trap of athleisure goodness? You will now.
It's hard not to, when its offerings cover everything you need, whether it's for men, kids and, from this season on, women's sizings are topped with dedicated styles too. Available in muted palettes of seafoam, wheat and iron, ESSENTIALS' easy, genderless collection comprises knitted and jersey hoodies, nylon coach jackets, as well as jersey tees and sweats in crewneck, mockneck, half-zip or open-collar styles and silhouettes that infuse a luxurious flair to the versatile creations.
Other than the classic, velvety ESSENTIALS logo and rubberized branded label at the back, a new 1977 insignia—the birth-year of Fear of God mastermind Jerry Lorenzo—can be found throughout the collection, appliquéd via a flocked logo treatment inspired by vintage athletic wear for a slight preppy, retro vibe.
